This spring the foundation and its programs have been featured in high-profile news outlets including:
- National Public Radio – Foundation Board Chairman and Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell was featured on "On The Media regarding the foundation's arguments before the Delaware Supreme Court in its legal battle against Lorillard Tobacco Company.
- The New York Times – Joseph Martyak, Executive Vice President for Marketing, Communications and Policy for the foundation, was interviewed for an article on Big Tobacco's stealth marketing tactics, and the effectiveness of anti-smoking campaigns such as truth®.
- The Washington Post – This front page story included foundation President and CEO Dr. Cheryl Healton commenting on the National Association of Attorneys General Tobacco Committee's announcement of the historic decline in cigarette consumption. The story featured a graphic – citing research provided by the foundation – that charts this decline.
- Seventeen Magazine – The foundation brought to life one teen girl's quit smoking attempt using an online "blog on this popular teen magazine's Web site.
- Time for Kids – Thania Balcorta, member of the foundation's Youth Activism Council, was highlighted for her work in tobacco control as part of a larger piece on smoking in the United States. The article also featured the truth® campaign and background research provided by the foundation.
