Save the Date — American Legacy Foundation Honors

On Monday, March 12, 2007, the American Legacy Foundation annual "Honors" gala and fundraising dinner will pay tribute to individuals from various fields whose contributions have strengthened and enhanced the foundation's mission to build a world where young people reject tobacco and anyone can quit. This year's event will take place at The Pierre, Fifth Avenue at 61st Street, New York City. The event begins with cocktails and silent auction bidding at 6:30 pm, followed by the awards ceremony and dinner at 7:30 p.m.

This year's honorees include:
  • Former Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr. of Maryland — Public Policy Award
  • Lucy Danzinger, Editor in Chief of SELF Magazine — Progress in Media Award
  • William C. Weldon, Chairman & CEO, Johnson & Johnson; CEO and Chairman of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer — Corporate Award
  • Bernadette Toomey — Legacy Service Award
  • Carol McGruder, Project Director of Polaris Research & Development and San Francisco African American Tobacco Free project—Community Activist Honoree
