A redesigned American Legacy Foundation Web site launched February 15, 2008. The new look, feel, navigation and content reinforces Legacy as a go-to resource for engaging in the tobacco control movement, as well as a quick stop for information and research. The public, media, stakeholders, and partners will be able to learn more about Legacy's important mission and programs through the enhanced site.
The site www.AmericanLegacy.org is designed to offer a number of ways through which people can learn about, support and engage in a variety of the Foundation's tobacco control efforts. The new site allows the foundation to better share information about foundation research studies and program, as well as offer a central place to share and learn new information about grants, research projects, methodologies and best practices in the tobacco control field.
The new site features:
- Advanced site wide search capabilities using Google
- Research search capabilities by keyword, date and type
- Media Library where both past and present Legacy ads can be found
- New Tobacco Fact Clipboard, offering specific facts about smoking and tobacco use that can be found and searched by general category.
- My Documents feature, which allows users to bookmark their favorite documents so that every time they come back to the site they can see them quickly
- Online donation capacity for fundraising
