American Legacy Foundation and Mayo Clinic Announce Collaboration
Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to announce a collaboration between the American Legacy Foundation® and Mayo Clinic that merges Legacy's public health and marketing acumen with the clinical expertise of the Mayo Clinic's Nicotine Dependence Center to help smokers to successfully kick their smoking habit.

This new collaboration intentionally avoids conventional anti-smoking messaging and instead offers smokers positive advice and resources to help them quit successfully. The most current joint effort focuses on EXsm, an innovative new multi-channel initiative designed to help smokers quit. EX offers smokers resources such as a quit manual, counseling and online cessation resources.

EX is currently being test-marketed in Buffalo, NY. It will launch this month in San Antonio, TX and arrive in additional pilot cities — Grand Rapids, MI, and Baltimore, MD — within the coming months.

We look forward to collaborating with Mayo Clinic in this exciting new venture as we work together to save more lives from tobacco-related deaths.

Sincerely,
