Resources for November

The foundation offers the following resources as your organizations gear up for November:

Great American Smokeout
The American Cancer Society will celebrate its 31st anniversary of the Great American Smokeout, urging Americans who smoke to quit on November 15, and the foundation joins their call and offers resources from the national Become an EX® campaign where smokers can create plans to quit smoking and relearn their lives without cigarettes.

Lung Cancer Awareness Month
Code Blue includes a 30-minute documentary that explores the devastating impact of lung cancer on four families and discusses how to reduce lung cancer deaths, primarily through early diagnosis and by quitting smoking. The campaign, in both English and Spanish, also includes radio and television public service announcements, a guidebook for local broadcasters, and an accompanying online component.

General Smoking Fact Sheets
You can find smoking facts about youth and men, movies and more on Legacy's Web site.
